Mom and I at the WW2 Memorial in D.C.

The Memorial itself is beautiful, but I was dissapointed with the many violent quotes etched in its stone. Instead of focusing on what we learned from the war: the importance of peace and protecting humanity, the many quotes typically boasted the need for US dominance of its foes.
