Oratory Skillz: Obama or Patrick?

Here's a fun conversation. I think Deval's the better speaker, more fiery and direct. Others love Obama. I'm curious what my readers think - Afertig posted a comparison, but feel free to poke around on Youtube and have some fun with it.

Who would win in an oratorical fight, Obama or Ditka?

LOL.

Clearly, I didn't think of the absolute potential of this exercize. It could be like the new 6 Degrees of Kevin Bacon.

Heh, thanks for the traffic to my comment.

I think they're more or less about even in terms of who is better, but Obama has been given way bigger and better audiences, and opportunities. His Iowa victory speech was outstanding, and very much part of the reason I support him for President. So I have to give the rhetorical edge to Obama.

PS - why is it so many people (you are by far not the only one) who calls me 'aftertig" as if after tig makes any more sense than my name (a fertig)? ;-)

LOL I think that was a brain fart.

I meant to write your BMG username. The t must have been a subconscious slip. I do that a lot. LOL. It's very easy for a brain to add a letter that doesn't belong there when it completes a word, even if it's the wrong word. I'm especially bad at doing that when the last letter of a word is the first letter of the next word.

Haha, yeah, it's cool. I think somebody on MyDD linked to a BMG post of mine calling me aftertig too. Maybe I should have a new userID called "post-tig" or something.
