Go Kerry!

Senator Kerry's not going to just be a yes-man on Obama's bad ideas in the stimulus package. That's a good thing.

While it's a little said that it took National Democrats a Democrat in the White House to grow a spine, I'm glad they're starting to grow that spine regardless, so long as it leads to more progressive policy. We don't need to win this stimulus package by 80 votes in the Senate, as Obama wants, we just need the freaking thing to pass. Note, too, the fact that Republicans can't filibuster the economic stimulus, to the best of my knowledge, because it's a spending bill. Why make life harder and turn what's a necessary bill into a useless one?
