Why Didn't Deval Ever Do this?

From a BarackObama.com email:
Ryan --

Congress will begin voting on President Obama's budget today. It's a big test not only for President Obama, but for our entire movement. Taking just a few minutes to call Congress now could make a major impact on this crucial vote.

Will you call your elected representatives to let them know you support a budget that tackles the long-term challenges to our prosperity?

According to our records, you live in zip code 01907, Massachusetts's 6th congressional district.

Please pick up the phone today and ask Rep. John Tierney, Sen. Ted Kennedy, and Sen. John Kerry to pass President Obama's budget.
Deval Patrick got his own, huge email list and volunteer base and never truly leveraged it. More than anything, I think that's his biggest failure of this administration. I don't know if it's too late, but the Gov really should make inroads to his old progressive army... and start to see if he can possibly leverage them on issues of commonality. Maybe that's how we pass a 19 cent gas tax... a plan that's been sucked into the vacuum of negative coverage. Without people calling their representatives, I don't know how it ever could have a shot in hell at this point.

I suspect this man will continually disappoint you. He is an empty suit. Baker/Brown in 2010.
