No need to repeat myself. We need more civil rights protections here and across the country, and we need them now.

I love that when the left raises questions about warrantless wire taps and civil liberties transgressions the right responds, "well, if you're not doing anything wrong, you have nothing to worry about!"
But when it comes down to hate crime legislation they argue "we already have laws against murder we don't need more". I say "If you're not planning on a hate crime, then you have nothing to worry about".
