Amazing How One Person Can Do...

So much damage - and not even be President of the United States.

The article I linked to not only details just how much was wiped out of many prominent Jewish charities and givers, but also describes an increase or at least a large fear of a very large increase in anti-Semitism.

At the same time, some Jewish leaders are bracing for a backlash of anti-Semitism, which they believe is already being triggered by the very public focus on Jewish wealth and an alleged Jewish criminal.

Anyone with wealth or means could have been suckered in by Madoff, so the idea that there would be a backlash against any one group of people because of it is somewhat shocking. Let's hope this is just a few people in the community speaking of their fears - and not something that will become a wide-spread reality. It's bad enough that hundreds of millions have been wiped off the books of some very good charities and foundations. If there's one thing we don't need in this difficult world, it's more hate.
